I wonder if the girl in the snow globe knows that her time is stopped. I wonder if she is still hurting, or if she is not aware of the fact that her world has frozen. The girl is watching the man walk away from her–a lover. Does she know that he is leaving? Am I prolonging her pain by not shaking the snow globe again? Her face looks sad, but is she?
She sits on the icy bench as her violet coat caves in on her frigid body–protecting her from the snow. He walks away in a black peacoat with his shoulders high. Is she aware that his posture is an indication of strength–that he is not upset.
She wallows in pain and he is moving forward.
I pity her and set things in motion once again.
